PALAEOLOVE’s Jewellery Mark: the interwoven «PL»

027March 10, 2017

Our jewellery or master mark «PL» certifies that the stamped jewellery pieces are designed and manufactured by PALAEOLOVE. Furthermore, this sign is our registered and protected responsibility mark for our jewellery pieces made of solid precious metals.

Noble metal articles, multimetal articles with precious parts and «Plaqué» articles (base metals or plastic firmly connected with a precious metal layer of certain thickness) sold in Switzerland must bear a responsibility mark registered at the Central Office for Precious Metals Control (Edelmetallkontrolle) in Berne. One might compare the responsibility mark with a signature. By striking our mark on the back of our jewellery pieces made of solid precious metals we vouch for the accuracy of the article’s composition, e.g., for the Swiss standards of fineness. The fineness is a ratio that specifies the noble metal content of an alloy in thousandth.

We sell jewellery pieces made of solid precious metals with the following standards of fineness: silver (925/1000 = sterling silver), gold (585/1000 = 14k: rose and white gold, 750/1000 = 18k: yellow gold) and platinum (950/1000).
