The Palaeolove Project
For a worthwile Future
Our sustainable Cooperations and ongoing Projects
- For our shipping packagings / overpacks we use second hand cardboard boxes and cushioning material of the Apotheke (Pharmacy) am Hechtplatz with the environment in mind and to support the cradle-to-cradle principle: the most systematic method of eco-effective product recycling.
- [ongoing] Swiss Silk: cultivation of mulberry trees, silkworm breeding and silk processing have a long tradition in Switzerland. Decades after ceasing, this economic sector is currently revived. We support these activities and like to help re-establishing silk manufacturing as income source for Swiss farmers and the domestic textil industry by designing and selling indigenous silk products.
Our social Cooperations
We appreciate the creative and human drive of operators, staff and residents of social institutions. Homes for the handicapped need reliable partners. We are such a partner by integrating sheltered workshops in our business processes that carry out their activities without pressure according to individual strengths and capacities of disadvantaged people.
We appreciate fair produced Equipment and Materials
- FairLötet stands up for fair lead-free soldering tin. An initiative that favours reprocessing of recycling tin and promotes environmentally sound production and socially viable mining conditions.
- Fairphone: the smartphone with social benefits, ethical, open and built to last. A favourable company that improves the electronics value chain > BuyAware.
- Nager It: the fair computer mouse with a wooden scroll wheel. A business that involves handicapped people and encourages humane working conditions in the factories of the electronic industries.
- Oekogold (in German): receycled gold and other noble/alloying metals for jewellery pieces. One hundred percent ecological (no mining = no destruction of livelihoods), fair (sustainable/uncritical sources) and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).

We don’t need more globalisation; we need more regionalisation and a strong support of local handicraft and intellect. Known Source, 1954-?
